His Word Guides

1 Corinthians 10:13-30, New American Standard Bible (NASB)

13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to wise men; you judge what I say. 16 Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? 17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread. 18 Look at the nation Israel; are not those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar? 19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?

23 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions for conscience’ sake; 26 for the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains. 27 If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions for conscience’ sake. 28 But if anyone says to you, “This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for conscience’ sake; 29 I mean not your own conscience, but the other man’s; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I slandered concerning that for which I give thanks?

My Comments: When we accept Jesus as Savior by believing in the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, we become the children of the Living God and He comes into us and we are with Him always. Yet we will have temptations, trials and tribulations. They will be for our growth and strengthening of our faith and trust in the Sovereignty of God. In His Word He provides the way out for us and even in the physical He provides the way out of situations we often get ourselves into.

I have heard stories of people flying in planes and the pilot has a heart attack or something else happens to them and a person who does not know how to fly has been guided down by someone they cannot see and do not  know. They trust that person because that person has the expertise to help them. We can trust God’s word the same way only we are not landing an airplane we are readying our souls for Heaven.

Jesus when He was baptized went into the desert for forty days and there Satan tempted Him. Jesus always replied with the true Scripture of God and did not succumb to the wiles of Satan as Eve did. He trusted His Father who sent Him to earth to protect Him and guide Him and He used the Word of God to foil the evil one. We can do the same when we know the Word of God and believe it to be inerrant or totally true. The first verse is relatively easy to understand from this perspective of trust and faith yet so are the others.

When we accept Jesus as Savior we drink the blood He shed and eat of His flesh which means we are willing to share in His life, death and resurrection. We affirm this when we have what many Christians call Communion. It is not as some believe the real body and blood of Jesus but is a remembrance as Jesus said, “Remember…” When we drink the wine or grape juice we are remembering what He said and why. The same is true of the bread or cracker, but where the wine or juice represents His blood that He shed, the bread or cracker represents His body given for us. He paid the ultimate price on the Cross so we could be free of our sin if we confess with our mouths and repent and choose Jesus as our Savior. Jesus is the bread of Life and we, who are His, are His body.

Yet when we accept the Sovereignty of Jesus Christ the King we accept His truths and there shall be no other god before God Almighty the Creator of the Universe. He does not share and when we worship at the alter of other gods, we tell God by our actions that we are not His nor do we believe His Word when He says, “Thou shall have no other God before me.” Other religions believe and unfortunately some who call themselves Christian (and obviously are not) are preaching that all religions and ways of believing are good and lead to heaven. WRONG!

That is the teaching coming out of the mouth of Satan to trap the unwary; it is the quick sand that pulls people down into the pit of Hell. The Father of Lies asked Eve if she was sure God really said and meant what He said and then told her God just wanted to stop her from becoming a god so she ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, then Adam followed her knowing full well God had told them not to eat of it or they would surely die. All roads do not lead to Heaven. Oh, all will stand before God to be judged who are not His and then if not His they will go to Hell not Heaven. That was their choice while on earth whether to accept Jesus’ free gift of redemption and salvation or reject it. Those who choose other religions are choosing to stay out of Heaven. There is only Two choices; Heaven or Hell.

As with the plane scenario and listening to the person in the tower tell them how to land safely; we can choose to listen to God and His Son Jesus on how to live forever or we can reject the guidance He gives and the gift He obtained for us. If the person on the plane who does not know how to land a plane says, “I will do it my way, I think it would be more fun, or easier to do it this way or I do not like who that person is telling me how to land the plane I think I will try something different.” What do you think the consequences of his decision would be? Right he would crash and die. Life has situations where we can get hurt or be tested or experience extreme loss but with God leading we will make it through. Doing it our own way or without God’s guidance we will surely die. And that death leads to Hell. Living life God's way as He says to live it in His Word, leads to Heaven. This is the mercy of God that while we were yet dead in our sin He died for us and redeemed us so we could live forever with Him in Heaven.

Loved Ones I pray you will be one who listens to what God says and turn to His Son Jesus, confess your sin against Him and He will be faithful to forgive a truly repentant sinner. Then ask Him into Your heart and have faith that He will heal You and set You free from sin.

Abba Father thank You for loving us so much, thank You for Your sacrifice and for setting things in place so we could be saved from our bad choices. Thank You for Your mercy and grace and for Your Word that gives us life through Your instruction, affirmation and precious words of Love. You are not only the person who talks us into landing safely; You are the parachute if needed or the haystack on the field for a soft landing. You always take care of Your own and we know that when we leave this body and are absent here we are present with You in Heaven and that is amazing. Our lives are short Lord, help us to live them to bring You praise and glory. May our thoughts and words be pleasing to You and let us not be confounded by the evil one. Protect us, guide us with Your Holy Spirit and strengthen us with Your Word. In Jesus’ name in union with the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Wisdom is of God

All of the Bible passages to day will be from the New American Standard Bible, Revised Edition. (NASBR)

1 Corinthians 1:18-31
18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.” 20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, 29 so that no man may boast before God. 30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31 so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
Psalm 14:1

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; there is no one who does good.
Psalm 10:4

The wicked in the haughtiness of his countenance does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, “There is no God.”

James 1:5

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Psalm 11:10 (a)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;…

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

My Comments: We are all born with a sin nature not a pure one like many would like to teach. Without God and the fear of loosing His presence for eternity we do what we want because it pleases us.

Watch a two year old take from another child and the tempers that can ensue because each wants what they want when they want it. We parents and society train up a child to behave in a socially acceptable manner in the home as well as in society yet in the depths each will try to get away with what they think they can. This continues throughout life unless they turn to God and fear Him and know Him to be God. Even those who seem good to people in their lives, will and can, do deeds that society finds objectionable. Without God we as humans get ourselves into situations, lifestyles and problems. This happens all because we lack wisdom without God. We lack wisdom because we do not know God or fear Him.

Those who do not believe this have not found wisdom yet. Yet by studying the Word of God we all can find knowledge that with the Holy Spirit leads to acquiring wisdom. And that starts as soon as we accept the grace Jesus, the Son of God, obtained for us all on the Cross and in His Resurrection. When we accept God we also go to Heaven, when we leave this worldly body, to be with our Savior and King, Jesus.

Abba, Father we need You. We are sinful and without You we will live in misery for eternity. We confess our sin and turn to You and accept Jesus as our Savior and King. When we become Jesus’ we become Your child for eternity. Fill us Abba with Your Holy Spirit as we fall on our knees before our Lord and King. Help us to live our lives to bring glory and praise always to You who love us so much. Thank You Lord Jesus. Grow Your wisdom in our hearts and change us to be more like You everyday. In Jesus name in unity with the Holy Spirit I pray with praise and thanksgiving. Amen.

Jesus, Immanuel loves us all

Romans 9:25-26 (As He says also in Hosea)

"I will call those who were not My people, ‘My people,’
And her who was not beloved, ‘Beloved.’ “
And it shall be that in the place where it was said to them,
'You are not My people,'
There they shall be called sons of the living God."  (New American Standard Bible, revised edition)
My Comments: These two verses in the Old and New Testament talk about those who come to believe on Jesus Christ the Savior and believe His Gospel and become Born Again through the Blood of Jesus on the Cross.
In verse 33 it says,
“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.” (which references from the Old Testament Isiah)
Isiah 8:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
Scripture taken from the New King James Version®. Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson. Used by permission. All rights reserved.)

He will be aa sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of IsraelAa trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
And as the Apostle Paul continued to write in
Romans 10:1
"Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation."
This is my heart for the people who have always been called His own, the Jewish race, yet I also pray it for all Gentiles and especially for my family and loved ones that all would come to know and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Jesus was a stumbling block when He walked, preached and even when He died on the Cross to His brethren and yet is, also today, to a world growing darker and darker with sin.
My Comments: I received a blessed call from one of my adult Grandsons, one day, who told me, “Grammie, I have something you have been waiting a long time to hear, I accepted Jesus.” This was my second adult Grandson in 3 months to have called me to say they had accepted the free gift of Jesus and they were not ones who people would have thought would come to know and follow Jesus and give their lives to Him. Then two of my little Grandchildren then three and five said they wanted to be saved and still nearly three years later still profess His name. I pray God all their roots go deep into the soil of God’s Holy Word so they will never be uprooted. I pray God will bring the rest of my family and Loved Ones and any who are in darkness into the light and I pray they use their free will to accept and follow Him.
It is a free gift given by the grace of God to those who know they have sinned and want their sins to be taken away as far as the east is from the west so they may become the Children of God Almighty. Only Jesus has ever done this for us (He is the only intercessor to the Father, none other) but to be His we must use our free will to accept the gift of redemption (it is a gift and there is nothing other than accepting the gift of redemption from Jesus Christ that will save us and give us rebirth).
The gift that stumbled people in Christ's time and still stumbles many now. Jesus is the only answer. One must come to Him then fill themselves with His Word to grow in His grace and be Sanctified.
Here are more verses to check out to find out more about the promises of God and why Jesus is the only answer to everything.
Romans 10:8-13.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
John 6:44-51
44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’[a] Therefore everyone who has heard and learned[b] from the Father comes to Me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[c] has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
John 14:1-17
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
John 10:1-5
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”
John 6:37-40
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 3:26-36
26 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!” 27 John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. 33 He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. 34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
John 10:14-18
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. 17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
And: Romans 1:15/16
15 So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
My Comments Continued: The Jews are and always will be God’s chosen people and when the Bible speaks of the Greek it is referring to the Gentiles which is all who are not of the Jewish race. And when we accept Jesus as our Savior we become into the family of God as well bought by the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ the Son of God and Son of Man the second person of the Holy Trinity. Then at the moment of being Born Again we are filled with the Holy Spirit the third person of the Holy Trinity who will teach us through the word of God the Father the First Person of the Holy Trinity.
We are born into sin because of the first Adam and we have sin natures that only the presence of God abiding within us can change and this change begins the moment we are Born Again as Jesus said we must be. It is because of the redemption through the blood of Jesus that we will one day stand before the Throne of God without trembling because we are assured of His mercy because He will only see His Son in whom He is well pleased.

Abba, Father I raise up the nation of Israel and all Gentiles and our families to You that their ears may be opened to Your Word and their hearts softened to Your calling. You call all to be Your children through the Gospel of Your Son, Jesus our Messiah and Redeemer. I thank You for all who this day will bow down before the Cross of Jesus confess their sin and be reborn into the Family of God. I thank You Lord for all You do to show everyone Your love for them even when times seem beyond bearing. Thank You for being there with us through everything. You promised never to leave us and for that I am truly grateful. Thank You Jesus for Your shed Blood and the Cross. May we all stand true to You and Your Word. Thank You Holy Spirit for filling us with the knowledge, understanding, discernment and wisdom of the Word. In Jesus, Immanuel, with the Holy Spirit I pray, Amen.

Have faith

Galatians 3:5

Does He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith- just as Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness?  (ESV)

Galatians 3:25

But now that faith has come we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

John 3:3, 5 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. …” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

John 3:16, 18

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. … Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

Luke 18:8b

“… when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

My Comments: I am only pointing you Loved Ones to a few verses in God’s Word on faith. I encourage you to seek out more in the Word and to read the verses before and after these verses to have a fuller understanding.

Abba Father loves us so very much. Throughout time He did many things to try to bring mankind back to Him, even sending a flood to cleanse the world. Yet man is inherently sinful and goes back to worshiping their own ideas of what a god is, even themselves, others, ideas or even possessions (all of this is idol worship as spoken on in the Word). Yet even then God has let humankind know Him in many ways.

As I have said before, before I was saved through the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus the Christ and was Born Again, I thought I was a Christian. Yet I did not really know the heart of God, only what I wanted His heart to be. Yet through all of the life I lived, boyfriends, failed marriage, less than perfect child rearing, a cult and a second marriage God was always there calling to me. He helped me often through a stormy first marriage, miscarriages, and the death of my first son, a divorce and many molestations and rapes in my life. He loves us even when we do not truly know Him or even know about His life or what He offers to us.

Jesus offers us the free gift of grace, life everlasting in and with Him and He in and with us but only in us if we are His. When we were yet sinners He came to earth and took our sin upon Himself. He was God and yet He came to earth to be born fully man of a virgin then let Himself be crucified and Abba Father allowed Him to make this sacrifice. On the third day after death He rose again according to the prophecies of the Old Testament. He walked, talked, ate and prayed with those who had followed Him before His Crucifixion. Then He rose to Heaven to sit by the right hand of the Father, His Father and ours (for those of us who accept His gift). Then He sent His Holy Spirit to teach and guide us in truth.

Even though I was going down many rabbit holes in my life, Abba was teaching me and guiding me in His truth. It was a long road for me yet it does not have to be as long for you Loved One. He is still in my life working on teaching me His truths yet has called me to share this road with you as well. Since being Born Again in the Spirit of God and Baptized life has not been an easy road nor did He promise it would be, in fact if we read the Word it will be just the opposite.

Life is hard often for believers as well as non-believers. Yet with our Abba we can make it through things because He joins us in these trials and tribulations. I always thought I had faith all my life until I had my eyes opened by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Now with the faith I have from Him and in Him and because of Him I can go where He wants me to go. And Loved Ones if you give yourself to Him and accept the Fathers Son Jesus Christ as your Savior you will have His strength and faith within you.

You will be the child of God and will be filled with His Holy Spirit. Only a person who understands they are a sinner, knows they need redemption and of their own volition accepts Jesus as Savior can be Born Again. Only those who are Born Again will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Baptism does not redeem us yet it is an outward sign of our inward proclamation. Christ was Baptized and this is something He wants for us yet this also is only done by those who have of themselves accepted Jesus as their Savior and believe the Gospel of Jesus the Christ who died for our sin and rose again on the third day as He said He would and as Prophesied.

If you do not know you are saved, Born Again and want to be then turn to Jesus the Son of God, confess your sin, ask Him to forgive you, turn from your sin and accept Jesus as your Savior, ask Him into you to dwell and guide you, believe He died for you and rose as He said He would and you will be Born Again. Then get in a solid Bible believing/teaching Church body. Study the Word of God (good versions are the New King James Version, the English Standard Version, the American Standard Version but be careful of the ones that paraphrase the Word of God).

When you have found a solid Church that does not preach more than what the Word of God says (there are many who claim to be Christian Churches yet are not. If they teach anything not found in the true Word of God then keep looking. If they claim they are the only true Church keep looking, if they do not believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as one God keep looking, if they worship angels or saints keep looking, infant Baptism keep looking, and if you have questions feel free to ask and if I do not know I will find out but a great rule is if not in the word then don't believe it. That is how I got into a cult.).  Then get Baptized and fellowship with the body of believers as the Word tells us to because though we are all sinners with imperfections we sharpen, encourage and strengthen each other as the Word says.

And welcome to the body of Christ my Brother and Sister you are now a Child of God and one day you will go home to be with the Lord and now you have the privilege of serving the King of Heaven and being like Him a servant to all. Read the Word and your faith will grow. You are loved.

Abba Father, thank You for all you have, are and will do in our lives and for loving us so much that You sent Your Son to die in our places. May we live our lives in and for You in all we say and do. Increase our faith, trust and understanding of You. Give us a hunger and thirst for Your Word and fill us with Your Holy Spirit daily. Open our eyes, give us discernment and protect us from the evil one. Thank You Abba for sending Your Son for us that we may be Your children truly and one day join You in Heaven and rule with Jesus on the New Earth. May all we do reflect Your glory and grace and bring many to redemption through the grace of Redemption, Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray in union with the Holy Spirit, Amen

Walk and live in the fruit of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 1:18-25, New King James Version (NKJV) Scripture taken from the New King James Version®. Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” 20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Colossians 1:18-25, (NKJV)

18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. 24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

Galatians 5:22-25, (NKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

My Comments: In my life I was blessed to have a wonderfully Christ centered Aunt and Uncle who lived their whole lives and raised their one son, and only child, to live his life to bring honor and praise to God and to believe in the saving grace of Jesus the Christ. I did not understand this completely when I was a young girl of eleven and stayed with them for a short period when my family was out of town. Then when I had my first two daughters they again were in my life.

They were great examples of a Christian family, and couple, and their walk with the Lord was evident in all they did. Again I did not understand what I was privileged to see. I knew they were loving and yet did not understand where that wisdom and love came from. I just thought they were good people.

They were more than good people though the Bible says none are good except the Father. I learned years later they were more than easy going yet honest people. They exemplified the fruit of the Spirit no matter what happened around them. They prayed for eleven years before they had their one and only child. He was a joy and though they had prayed so hard and so long for him they never spoiled him yet raised him in the love and joy of the Lord. He accepted Jesus' gift when he was very young. He and my Aunt prayed over my second oldest child when she nearly died. She lived and grew up and had her own family because they were faithful to the Lord and lived in the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

Looking back at them in my mind, I use them and have used them often since I accepted Jesus as my Savior. Christ is my first example and they are the examples I knew close up and personal in my life. I look to Jesus and the Word of God as to how to live my life and remember how living for Christ looked in two wonderful people who influenced my life.

Because of these two saintly people, when I did come to know and accept the free gift of salvation and was Born Again as Jesus says we must be to enter Heaven, I was able through the Holy Spirit to grow and change how I interacted with my children and my husband. As I have said before, I was raised Russian Orthodox and went into a Catholic cult called Soldiers of the Euchrist. That is where I met and married my second husband. And though I was in a cult the Holy Spirit worked on my heart and let me hear to Gospel message and told me what I had to do to be Born Again.

Still after repenting of my sin of putting other people and things before God and living life my way, accepting the gift of salvation and redemption I was in the cult and reading the wrong bible. Still God blessed me and showed me His mercy and grace. He took away my husbands job our home and placed us where we could hear good solid Bible teaching of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit worked in our hearts and changed us. Because of the good example of my Aunt and Uncle I knew what a solid godly marriage looked like and strove to change. Then eventually God placed us in a solid Bible believing teaching studying body of believers where we could grow and help others to grow as well. I praise God daily for sending good teachers into our lives and I know my husband did up until He passed on to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and be reunited with God Almighty.

I pray you have fine godly examples in your lives and I know from seeing the ones I have been privileged to have, that it is possible for a person to know God fully in His Word and walk with Him continually. I pray you come to know the living God as well and accept His saving grace on the Cross bought through His suffering for all that none should perish. It is a choice and the Holy Spirit wants to fill you with His fruit but first you must in you have not done so already, you must repent (confess and turn from your sin) and accept Jesus as your Savior and believe He died on the Cross for you and rose on the third day that you and all may live eternally as Children of God. It is your choice to listen to the Holy Spirit.

I did not use that choice well early in my life. Not even when I saw the joy of life in my Aunt and Uncle. Maybe the early people Paul and the other Apostles preached to, allowed themselves to be blinded to the truth as well. Yet like many who followed and lived the the Gospel of Jesus, I too turned from the worlds ways and was accepted into the loving arms of Jesus. Therein lies my joy. The joy I knew my Aunt and Uncle and my Cousin had. The joy of the first martyrs. The joy the Apostles had even when being persecuted for Jesus and the Gospel. I pray you beloved will come to know this joy.

Abba may we all learn from Your Word what we should do in our lives and I pray we all walk in the fruit of the Spirit. Touch each heart who reads Your word that they will turn to You through Your Son Jesus the Christ and be filled with the fruit of the Spirit and live in joy knowing they are Yours and You will always be with them. Thank You gracious Father for showing us in Your Holy Word how we should live our lives for Your glory and praise.

Lord Jesus, You showed us the way to the Father and You intercede for us with Him. Because You have taken on our sin and were crucified for us may we all fall on our face before You and confess our sin that we may be one with the Father through You. Thank You Jesus for loving us so much. Thank You for the joy of knowing You and living our lives to glorify the Father.

Holy Spirit, Comforter, Teacher, Holy Wind fill our minds, heart and souls with the Love of Jesus and the knowledge of the Word of God. Give us a thirst and hunger for His Word and a desire to share Him with everyone. Thank You for guiding us and prompting us to live our lives to give glory and honor to Abba Father.

In Jesus Holy and precious name we pray in union with the Holy Spirit, Amen

Loved ones I hope you will read the Word of God and accept the free gift of righteousness and salvation.

Pray to God not the angels or saints.

Hebrews 1:1-14
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 [a]in these last days has spoken to us [b]in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the [c]world. 3 [d]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and [e]upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
For to which of the angels did He ever say,
You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?
And again,
“I will be a Father to Him
And He shall be a Son to Me”?
And [f]when He again brings the firstborn into [g]the world, He says,
And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
And of the angels He says,
Who makes His angels winds,
And His ministers a flame of fire.”
But of the Son He says,
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
And the righteous scepter is the scepter of [h]His kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
10 And,
You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
11 They will perish, but You remain;
And they all will become old like a garment,
12 And like a mantle You will roll them up;
Like a garment they will also be changed.
But You are the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.”
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said,
Sit at My right hand,
Until I make Your enemies
A footstool for Your feet”?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

My Comment: God is God, His Son Jesus is fully God and fully man and God the Father and He and the Holy Spirit are wholly one. Three in one the Triune God, none other are to be worshipped, none other are to be prayed to. Angels are never to be prayed to. They are as the Word says, “…ministering spirits sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation.” They were created by God to minister or help those who will inherit salvation or those who will accept Jesus as the Messiah, but God tells them what He wants them to do! We do not ask them or pray to them to do things for us. We pray to Him and He directs His angels. They worship God their Creator, The Creator, our Creator whom we also, who have accepted the free gift of salvation from Jesus, worship.

As a person who grew up in a church that prayed through and to angels, saints and others, I did not understand this. If I had read the Bible I might have. Though I did read it through when I was eleven I have to say I read it like a story book and not asking God to guide my eyes and heart for understanding, wisdom and knowledge. Consequently I did miss a lot of the true teachings that might have helped me change to a true Bible believing church earlier in life and kept me from going down a dangerous path. Thanks be to God, He touched me with the truth just before 911. It was a long road away from the untrue teachings I had been in, but God was merciful and gave me His Holy Spirit to guide me in His wisdom, knowledge and understanding and I am still learning, as I pray you are as well.

Abba, thank You for Your gracious patience towards those whom You have created. We do not deserve Your patience or Your love yet we praise You for them. You have given us all the answers we need in Your Word. Send Lord, Your Holy Spirit to guide us to Your knowledge. Fill us with Your wisdom and understanding. Open our eyes to Your truths Jesus and come into our hearts and fill us with You very presence.

Let us Lord, not be distracted by things that are not Biblically sound or true. Help us always to check our Doctrines with Your Word and discard any that are not found in and confirmed in Your Word. Give us a love for Your Word and discernment when we study Your Word. Abba, let us not be diverted from Your truths and Scripture through divinations, astrology or other things not of Your truths. Keep our minds always on You. Thank You for Your teachings. In Jesus name, Amen.
