Study #2, Names of God

This is a study continuing the study on the Names of God in the Holy Bible (Old and New Testament).
The names of God in the Greek and Hebrew when translated were put as Lord, God or others forms and in most Bibles His names are capitalized. Following some of these I will place the name that would have been used but there are many books or sites one may use to find out the names. Remember the original language did not have vowels as we do.
Genesis 1:1, The Holy Bible, New King James Version Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. (NKJV)
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Elohim, meaning “God” a reference to God’s power and might)

Psalm 19:1, (NKJV), To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

19 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork. (Elohim, meaning “God” a reference to God’s power and might)

Isaiah 40:28-31, (NKJV), (El-Olam meaning “The Everlasting God”)

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Malachi 1:6, (NKJV)

“A son honors his father,
And a servant his master.
If then I am the Father,
Where is My honor?
And if I am a Master,
Where is My reverence?
Says the Lord of hosts
To you priests who despise My name.
Yet you say, ‘In what way have we despised Your name?’  (Adonai meaning “Lord”, a reference to the Lordship of God)

Revelation 19:13, (NKJV)

13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Romans 8:15, (NKJV)

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Ephesians 5:23, (NKJV)

23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. (Note: this Savior of the body is Christ Jesus not the husband. In case anyone did not notice the “He” is capitalized meaning the Lord).

1 John 2:1, (NKJV)

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Romans 11:26, (NKJV)

26 And so all Israel will be saved,[a] as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

1 Timothy 2:5, (NKJV)

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Romans 9:5, (NKJV)

of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

John 1:9, (NKJV)

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Revelation 22:16, (NKJV)

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

Revelation 19:13, (NKJV)

13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
My Comments: I often find it hard to follow the Word of God with my comments for they are so small compared to His Word to us and for us. After seeing so many of His names it is even more humbling to try to share my thoughts and my heart.
I do not think there is a word that can be used to describe any thing beautiful, strong, loving, true, saving and on and on, that does not describe our all powerful and Holy God Almighty. He created, loved (s), cherishes, desires and pursues us. He protects, hides, fights for us. He comforts, succors and holds us in His Hand. He is the Alpha, Omega, Beginning, End, First and the Last the great I Am. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One True and Living God who desires a relationship with us. This just humbles me and brings me to tears of joy and thankfulness. I was lost and He found me. Praise be to God my Abba Father. If you do not yet know Him I pray you will soon. It is easy. Confess your sin, and accept Jesus as your Savior and you will be one of Abba Fathers children.
I will try to add more in a few days. I no longer have Internet so I use the Library and am very thankful for a free Library system. In the meantime I pray you will study the Word of God and ask His Holy Spirit to guide and teach you with wisdom, discernment and understanding.
Abba Father, we know so little of You yet it seems we know so much. To know about You what the Angels must know would be awesome. Yet we must be patient a while longer until the last Gentile is brought into the family and for now we see through a glass darkly. Come Lord Jesus, Come. In Jesus name in union with the Holy Spirit I pray. Amen.
