"Well done good and faithful servant."
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. We are doing well in the Lord and trusting in faith that His will will be done and pray we will finish the race and hear, "Well done good and faithful servant."
He continues to allow challenges to come into our lives and gives us His strength to overcome all of them and grow through them closer to Him daily.
We praise and glorify Him for loving us so much to take so much of an interest in our welfare and our growth and we trust Him to always be with us as we go through the fires and trials of life that are nothing more than challenges to show His glory and righteousness.
May He bless each of you abundantly and when your race is finished may you hear, "Well done good and faithful servant." Amen

Through His body and blood we are made one with Him; 1 Corinthians 10;16, Luke 22:19/20.
1 Corinthians 10:16
"The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?"
NKJV
Communion is a blessed time for any believer. Each element presented is a picture of the ultimate sacrifice of our loving Savior. As we take the bread, we remember our Lord as He was beaten by soldiers and spit upon by those who hated Him. When we look at the cup, we catch a glimpse of the blood that was shed on the cross so that we could be forgiven. These two elements help followers of Christ to understand the penalty of their sins while rejoicing in a God who has made a way for them to be cleansed of all they've done wrong.
Life Lesson: Be careful what cup you drink from.
Dear Father,
Lord, I know that I have sinned against You. I realize that when You died on the cross You were taking the punishment that I deserved. Thank You for Your sacrifice. Forgive me for all the things that I have done wrong. I desire to drink deeply of Your cup - the cup of blessings. Each time I take communion, may I remember the sacrifice You made for me and may it lead me to tell others about Your amazing gift. In Jesus' name, Amen.

My Comments: From a small child I loved going to Communion and now as an adult I understand what it really means. Especially now that I have lived and know how much my Lord and Savior gave up and went through for me to be in Communion with Him. I know His Love and can now be in Communion with Him continually. This amazes me and fills me with such joy and peace. I drink of His cup daily as all who follow Him should. His body, His blood have redeemed us and all we have to do is say, "Yes Lord" and we are in communion with Him and filled with the joy of the Lord and His Holy Spirit. He sacrificed all so we could be in communion with Him. What a God we serve!!
Abba Thank You for Your Sacrifice, for Your Son for loving us so much and wanting us to be Yours. May we always be one with You in the body and blood or our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Luke 22:19-20 "And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you." NKJVIn the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus accepted the cup that was placed before Him by the Father. It was the cup of our sins and the punishment that we deserved. Now in its place, Jesus offers us a new cup. The cup He offers is a cup of blessings, hope and eternal life. We may try to drink from other cups in this world, but only one leads to salvation. Drink deep my friend and taste and see that the Lord is good.

Run to Christ, rely not on your own understanding. John 13:37, 1 John 1:9, 2 Timothy 2:13-14
Are you like Jesus' disciple, Peter? Or are you more like Judas? Now, first of all, when I ask, "Are you more like Judas?," I'm not asking, "Are you the type who would betray Jesus?" And I'm not asking, "Are you the type who would disown Jesus in public?"
I'm asking, how do you respond when you have messed up? Do you respond like Peter or Judas?
But there's another constant to consider. Paul, in his second letter to Timothy tells us, "If we are faithless, he remains faithful--for he cannot deny himself" (2 Timothy 2:13-14, ESV). That means God always keeps His promises; His faithfulness is part of what makes Him God.
So, back to our original question: when faced with your own unfaithful tendency in the light of God's unwavering faithfulness, are you like Peter or more like Judas?
Peter must have felt very ashamed because he disowned Jesus--especially after boldly declaring he would die before he would desert Jesus (See John 13:37). But when the resurrected Christ appeared on the shore where Peter and the others were fishing, Peter couldn't make himself wait until the slow boat returned to shore to be in the presence of his Lord. Soon after Peter reaffirmed his love for Jesus.
Judas also felt remorse for his actions. But instead of going back to the ever-faithful God, Judas took his own life. He chose to ignore the faithfulness of God

My Comments: Have you met people who say they rely on God yet when they do something they know (or should know) is displeasing to God, they find excuses or turn away from God? Sometimes we can all be like that yet if we are truly His we will realize our wrong and turn to Him for forgiveness.
I love thinking of King David and the times he turned from the truths of God and relied on his own understanding. He caused the death of someone who loved him, stole a wife of another. Caused pain and death for his own people and household yet when confronted by God he did not try to find excuses for what he did. He owned it and repented. When I mess up or sin or displeased God my Savior I try to turn to Him quickly and repent and ask Him to make me new and totally His.
I think Judas felt bad not because he did wrong. I think his was because he did not get what he wanted and his hand was shown up and he was so full of himself he was in misery from self pity and lack of remorse and had shown his hand so he could not take it all back. I see people like this all the time.
These people sin and their sin is brought to light and instead of turning to God who would forgive a contrite heart, they feel bad for themselves and become self destructive, they dwell on their own understanding and not His. Some turn to drink, drugs or promiscuity or something else and if they would just turn to God they would not need those things or anything or anyone else or would they need to hurt themselves or someone else. Our peace is in God. Our forgiveness is in and from God. His cleansing makes us whole and as His we can overcome all things. I am so thankful for His sacrifice, forgiveness and righteousness and that each day is new with Him.
Abba all glory be unto You for all You have done for us. All praise be Yours for Your unending forgiveness and love. Help us Father to listen to You and when we wander and sin guide us back to You and help us to be like Peter who when chastised by Jesus ("Get they behind me Satan") turned from his own understanding, who when he denied Jesus quickly went to Him whom he loved rather than run away. Let us never run from You but run towards You who are the source of all our strength and who give us understanding, knowledge and wisdom. In all things we pray to You Abba through Your Son Jesus. Amen

There's one constant among all human beings: we're all sinners. We've all disappointed God. In this regard, we are all like Peter; and we are all like Judas. But there's another constant to consider. Paul, in his second letter to Timothy tells us, "If we are faithless, he remains faithful--for he cannot deny himself" (2 Timothy 2:13-14, ESV). Reflect
Too many people spend their time dwelling on their own faults. But instead of bemoaning our faithlessness, we should be praising God's faithfulness. If you've been wandering away from God lately, be like Peter and return to Him. Don't let the devil convince you that God could never love you again. There isn't a person alive who hasn't disappointed God in some way. Today the choice is yours: either dwell in your misery or rejoice in God's faithfulness.Respond
First John 1:9 tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (ESV). If you have been unfaithful, confess it to God. Confession means to admit to God that you've sinned against Him. There is no other way to experience the forgiveness, love and joy of God your Father.Back to the Bible Ministries

The power of God's Word impacts all areas of life. As we read the Hebrew
Scriptures, we learn actual history about our world, God's people and His power.
When we read through the Gospels, we learn about Jesus, who He was and what He
did for us. Later in Acts and in the epistles, we learn how to have church and
what our future holds. Of course, one of the greatest blessings of scripture is
the realization of who we are before Jesus and who we become after Jesus.
When we reflect on the Bible, we get an unedited glimpse of who we really are as humans. We are broken and sinful. We are deceived and in need of saving. When we see our sinfulness, it leads us to the Savior. And at the foot of the cross, we find forgiveness and grace. This forgiveness is by His grace - all because of what Jesus has done. But God does not stop there. You see, we are saved and seen perfect in God's eyes, yet we still struggle in this fallen world. This is where God's Word gives us guidance on how we are to live and the power we have to live like Jesus. All these amazing truths work together to mold and shape us bit by bit into the image of Jesus. God was aware of us long before we came to be, and yet His love for us is never changing. He not only provided a way to experience His love through forgiveness, but He also gave us His very words to lead us through this life.
Dear Father,
I praise You for Your understanding of who I am. You know the hairs on my head and the paths I will take and yet, despite my failings, Your love is unchanging. Thank You for salvation and for giving me Your Word so that I can live an abundant life with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

My Comments: Our Lord has given us many promises and the best one is He promises to be with us to the end. Okay, the best after His promise to remove our sin as far as the east is from the west; in other words when we become His we have His righteousness and salvation is freely ours. Wow!!! This is always how I feel when I think of this (and this is daily at the least) truth. What a Love, what a God!
How can we understand all that this means, and how can we exhort or brethren if we do not understand doctrine and if we are not pursuing His Word in study and prayer? Daily God examines us to see how we are growing, He searches out our thoughts and watches our actions as any good parent does to see where their child needs correction, a pat on the back or encouragement to do better. He knows each of His children require different focuses to bring them to where He knows they are capable of going or capable of growing. I wish I had been able to know the secrets of my children's hearts and thoughts as He is in order to help them become all our Abba desired of them from the beginning of time. I as an earthly parent made and make many mistakes. Their heavenly Father never has nor ever will make any mistakes.
Our Father in heaven loves us and wants the best for us yet we make the choice of accepting His offer or not. Read His word. Search Him out. Ask Him to guide you and fill you with His knowledge, understanding and wisdom so you can become all He wants and knows you can be and so you will be able to share His doctrine with others thereby helping them find salvation, too.
Abba, You are the one and only true God and all others are as nothing. Thank You Father for Your /Word and for Your Love, may we grow stronger and have more understanding and knowledge of Your truths and grow our knowledge of Your Gospel with in our hearts so we may share Your Gospel with others. All praise and glory are Yours Lord and may we remain always Yours. Amen

Be Friends of God and be friends with your brothers and sisters in Christ; Romans 16:3-4

"Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles."
NKJV
Paul not only won souls but also made friends. Throughout his ministry, Paul
demonstrated great kindness toward others and exhorted others to treat one
another well. He gathered around himself some true friends... friends who were
not only willing to exchange kindness one-for-one with him, but they were
willing to lay down their time, finances and even lives sacrificially to help
Paul. These were not 'here today gone tomorrow friends,' but were true friends
in every meaning of the word. We should be like that with one another.
I am reminded of a story about a young Private First Class in the United States Army during the brutal fighting of World War II. In the midst of a skirmish, the unit had been forced to retreat due to heavy gunfire and was pinned down in the trenches. His best friend had been hit in the exchange and the unit retreated so fast he was left behind lying in the field. The young soldier could see his friend and began to climb out of the trench to get him. His Sergeant stopped him saying, "Son, your friend is gut shot. That means he is going to die. There is nothing you can do for him, and if you go out there, you will die as well. We do not need to lose two soldiers today." The private looked his Sergeant in the eye, set his jaw and scrambled out of the trench. Reaching his buddy, he too took a bullet in the belly but managed to pull his friend back to the trench. His buddy was dead. The Sergeant looked at his friend and looked at the private and said, "Son, your friend is dead and now you are going to die. Was it worth it?" The young soldier looked down at his own wound then looked up and said, "Sir, yes sir, it was worth it, because when I got there, my friend looked at me and said, 'I knew you would come.'"
Church is not a building; it is a group of people who are serving side by side in the army of God. Sometimes we get wounded, and sometimes we see another get wounded. The battles can be heavy and at times, the potential for hurt can be great. Are you the kind of friend that soldier was?
Life Lesson: We should want to treat other people better than we do now.
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for loving me. Thank You that Your love was so great for me that You died for me. Lord, give me the courage to step into the gap for others. Putting aside all fear and selfishness, allow me the opportunity to come along side of someone in their time of need. In Jesus' name, Amen.

My Comments: Many times we hear of people who come into a church and see believers who are not mature and even nonbelievers who attend because they just want fellowship and have not found salvation; they see and hear them and leave thinking "If this is a Christian I want nothing of what they say they believe". Sad isn't it. First sad because they judge based on those who either do not know the Lord or who have not walked with Him long enough to know or show His love in how they behave or talk.
I think often we are like that. We go to someones home and judge the "friend" based on what the family is like and if we like them. Each person is an individual responsible for their own behaviors yet we look at the whole. We do this with whole groups of people and they do it of our groups. When we go to foreign countries and behave like we own the world or are the smartest on the planet we leave a sour taste in the mouths of those who are inflicted by us.This happens in churches and that is a shame. A shame on those of us who are mature and should reach out and make sure new people tie into more mature Christians or get into the studies they need to grow or accept the salvation of God through His Son, Jesus.
The Bible tells us to love one another. Paul lived this truth and we should as well. Love does not talk behind others backs or spread words not okayed by the person themselves (this is gossip and it damages), one forgives and helps the person to have a stronger walk with Abba, one reaches out when another is in pain and comes along side of them even to crying with them. I have been very blessed to have mature Christians come along side of my hubby and myself during this challenging time in our lives. We have been prayed over, offered emotional, spiritual and physical and monetary help from the love of God in their hearts. This is as we should all be to our brothers and sisters around the world and especially where He has planted us.
The preceding writings from Cross the Bridge said we are an army of God and yet with the Olympics just finishing I am reminded of the times many of our American team stood back so another could shine, or how they worked together even when competing against eachother. We are not in competion yet we can learn to work together to make it so all can win the race.
Abba You have blessed us with Your love and we pray we will love as You loved, live as Your son lived totally for others. May we be willing to give up so others may have, may we not seek to judge but to build up, and may we sacrifice so others my live. In Jesus' Name, Amen

We can either accept Him as King or reject Him. Accept heaven as our true home or reject it. Accept God as the one true God or reject Him. We will never have more important questions in our lives. I choose Jesus and know God is my God and heaven is my home and I am not of this world though I must live here for now and my directions are to Love God, my neighbor as myself and make disciples. Will you be His disciple? Will you accept Jesus as your Savior? I hope and pray you will as I would love to go home and meet you and know you as my brother or my sister. I praise God for you and that you are reading this and thinking about the things of heaven. Ask and He will help you to know Him and He will guide you to all His truths. Lord Jesus thank you for going to the cross for us for giving completely of yourself. help us to follow your example and when we are being filled with Your love we will give Your love freely to all and Your forgiveness. Thank You Abba for sending Your precious Son. Help us to love like You. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen Rebishka |
Abba God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are all of us on a journey. Some take the journey alone or feel they are alone. Some try to walk the walk with those they know or meet. Some choose a better way. The Way of the Cross and walking with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Son of God the Father who loves us so very much He sent His only son to earth to save us from our sin.
When I was younger I thought I had a walk with the Father and knew the Son had saved me from my sin yet never asked Him into my heart to be my intercessor with His Father. I went from the Russian Orthodox way of worship to a Catholic cult to the Episcopalian way of worship and finally Abba got my attention and I heard and asked His Son to be my Savior and accepted His sacrifice for my sin. I have been filled with the Holy Spirit and been on a wonderful journey and walk with the Father of Love.
How has your walk been? How is it now? Where are you on your walk and understanding? I would love to encourage you to read the Word of God and let His Holy Spirit fill you with His understanding and knowledge so you may if you are not one with the Lord, you may accept the righteousness of Jesus as yours. You may claim the Resurrection power of the Lord God when you accept His truth. He will fill you with His truth, faith and love and this will free you from fear except the fear of losing His joy in you. All other fear is not of God and therefore should be cast off. Put on the full armour of the Lord and do not fear the world because once you are His the world will not have any power over you.
If you want prayer or have questions please feel free to contact me here. Unfortunately my husband is very ill and I do not get on here very often so if you need help sooner I would suggest contacting the two Biblical sources I use here on the site. Back to the Bible Ministries and Cross the Bridge Ministries. Both are very Bible based as are the Calvary Chapel Churches who are always willing to give help where it is needed and to especially pray for and with you for salvation.
Abba You have been wonderful to us and have given of Yourself in a way we can only understand in a limited way even those of us who are parents. Father we praise and glorify you and place into Your hands any who read this blog. Give all a hunger and thirist for You word and fill them with Your understanding and knowledge and grow wisdom in them as they persist in reading Your word and come to know You and all You have done for and are doing for them. You are the one true God, three in One who loves us and always helps us the way that is best for us and all concerned. Keep us from all evil and help us to flee temptation. We pray You come quickly and we and all we love are planted firmly at the foot of the Cross with our root planted in Your Word and our limbs bearing much, much fruit. May we hear "Well done, good and faithful servant" as we leave this alien world and enter into our life with You. Abba You are our one true God and we worship and glorify Your Holy Name and seek to bring You honor and glory. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
