I can do all things in He who strengthens me. Romans 8:11, Philippians 4:13.

Romans 8:11
"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."
NKJV
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to you. Do you realize that? The defining moment of the world and all the power that was behind His glorious resurrection is for you. That is what Romans 8:11 says. Are you living life defeated by sin? Friend, seize the moment! Now is the time! Never before have you been more able to live life to its fullest. The potential of your Creator is dwelling in you. The Holy Spirit, given to you by Jesus wants to perform a work in you so amazing you will never be the same. Victory has been declared ... are you taking part in it?
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." NKJV
You are being perfected. As you allow God to work in you, you are being conformed to the image of Christ. That's powerful! Friend, you can do all things through Jesus, including overcoming that sin that you keep going back to. Stop feeding it. Feed your spiritual nature. Going to church, personal time in the Bible, prayer and serving others is the way to grow in God and these things are products of the Holy Spirit working in you. You don't owe sin anything, but you owe Jesus for dying for you. You were purchased at a high price. Jesus changed your life. Live that change.
Life Lesson: You have resurrection power available to you to overcome sin in your life.
Dear Father,
Thank You that I do not have to be a slave to sin, but can be a bond-servant of righteousness through You. Please forgive me for my sins and give me the power to live for You. Help me to grow in You through fellowship, study, prayer and by loving and serving others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Living to tell what He died to say,

My Comments: Daily I am reminded by my Lord and Savior to lean not on my own understanding nor my own strength to do anything or bear anything. God the Father of us all wants to teach us all to lean on Him. We can do nothing of ourselves and nothing we can do other than accepting the Sacrifice of Jesus the Christ will remove our sin and bring us into the glory of God or fill us with His Holy Spirit. So  very simple yet there is a world dieing that will not hear the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God, God Incarnate/made man.
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, when we accept His sacrifice on the Cross, when we acknowledge our sin and fall before the living God; then He can use us, change us, live in us and His power the Resurrection Power will flow into and through us to accomplish His will in and through us.
His Resurrection Power conquers sin, saves people and nations and will change the world ! We make the choice to believe Him when He says "...none can come to the Father except through Him.." We confess our sin, recant the world and cloth ourselves in His heavenly garments. We are "Born Again" and one with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
With this gift we have responsibility because then we become the Children of God and as His children we show His power, do works that bring glory to Him, cause His name to be revered and praise and glorify Him by all we say, think and do. These actions do not save as we are already saved when we have confessed Jesus as our Savior and follow the One True God of Jacob, Issac and Abraham who came to earth as a babe in a manager and was crucified at Calvary on the Cross for our that we might live in eternity with Him. Oh, glorious day when Jesus comes again for His Church, His Bride to be caught us with Him in the clouds. My heart pants for that day. May yours as well my friend.
Abba we praise You and glorify You for all You do. We do nothing for it is only Your strength that accomplishes things through us. It is Your words that sooth through us or edify when we open our mouths. May it be Jesus others see when they see us and may we not follow after the world and her ways nor fall into the traps she sets for Your children. Help us Father to rely on You to seek Your face, Your Word, Your desire before undertaking anything.May all we do be in Your precious Name and for Your glory. Thank You Abba for sending Your Son for us that we may be one with You as Your children. Amen

Do you know the living God? Hebrews 1:1-3, Hebrews 7:25, Psalm 139.

There are some shaky and inaccurate beliefs about God in our world today. Many people don't have any idea who God is or how to relate to Him. They might believe God is distant and unconcerned. Or that you and I are on our own in the universe. Some might even insist that God didn't create men and women--that we just evolved.
But instead of listening to what some people say, let's listen to what God says. If you want to know the real God, the God who is in charge of everything, you need look no further than the Bible.

Receive

The whole Bible, all 66 books of it, is God's Word given to us. So all of it is useful for finding out about who God is and what He desires of us. But let's look specifically at Hebrews 1:1-3.
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets" (Hebrews 1:1, ESV). God speaks to us. This verse specifically talks about the prophets that relayed God's messages. Many of those prophets also wrote down God's words and those writings form much of our Old Testament. God's words given to the prophets were meant first for the Jewish people--but then for us also.
"But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom he also created the world" (Hebrews 1:2, ESV). More recent than the prophets, God spoke to us through His Son, Jesus. Jesus is the creator of the world and the heir of all things. Jesus speaks to us the words of God.
"He [Jesus] is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Hebrews 1:3, ESV).
Not only is Jesus the creator of the universe, He is also the forgiver of our sins. Jesus "upholds the universe by the word of his power." And later in Hebrews we see that Jesus is "able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives (to) make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25, ESV).
He is the Lord of all creation and Savior of our souls. He is the One who scattered the stars in the heavens and has numbered the hairs on our heads. He is God, the second Person of the Trinity, and a friend we can draw near to. Why would we need anything else?

Reflect

As you read Hebrews 1:1-3, think about the following questions:
Knowing that God is creator of all things, what does that say about human origins?
What does God do in these verses to demonstrate His love for us?
Why is it important to you and me that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father?

Respond

God has used the words of Psalm 139 to comfort and encourage many people since David wrote it nearly 3,500 years ago. This psalm is one of the most beautiful descriptions of God's intimate care and involvement in our lives. Read through Psalm 139 and pick out a couple of verses that really speak to you. Take those verses and write them out on paper in big letters. Decorate it and hang it up where you will see it often. If you prefer, use a computer and word processing program.

My Comment: When I was younger and brought up in a different faith than now. I thought I knew the God of the universe. I thought I knew "enough" of His word to know I was saved. I had not however known I needed to accept His Sacrifice for me and go through His Son Jesus the Christ for forgiveness of my sin. Through many changes in my life and down many roads I continued to talk to God and not hear Him when He wanted me to follow. I wanted Him to "follow me" or "listen to me" or "do what I wanted" my walk was not about Him it was about me. This is the way many churches teach by the lack of teaching the truth of Jesus Christ Crucified and that to be God's child we must accept this His Sacrifice, confess our sin and then become His child, the child of the King! Oh, how wonderful the day I finally understood and choose to follow Him!
Abba I pray for all who read this for all my family loved ones and friends. I pray You touch their lives as You graciously touched mine. Help them to see and understand their need for salvation and how much You love them and have always been there calling to them. Thank You my Father for all You are doing in their lives and the lives of all of us. Thank You for the Salvation You sent to earth, for the Sacrifice of the Lamb of God and for the sending of Your Holy Spirit to teach, comfort and guide us. In Jesus' precious and Holy Name, Amen

Believe and God will do the rest. John 14:10, John 14:6, Hebrews 1:1-2

Here's an exciting opportunity. You just won first prize at the opening of the new bank. You have three minutes, 180 seconds, to carry out of the vault as much cash as you can. What you carry you can keep. But in fact there are two vaults: one filled with $5 bills and the other with $100 bills. In which vault do you begin? Duh!
No brainer, right? You choose the one with the best return. And the same is true when we want to hear from God. God has used many ways in the past to communicate with us, but now He has provided the best way of all. Let's see what that might be.

Receive

"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son" (Hebrews 1:1-2, ESV).
What does this verse say about the ways God has spoken to us? What are some of the ways that God has made His Word known in the past? Your answers might include: creation--humankind, the world; men--like poets, preachers and prophets; circumstances; events and conscience (the "oughtness" within).
Today God speaks to us through His Son. What are the advantages of hearing from God through His Son?
"The words that I [Jesus] say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works" (John 14:10, ESV).
Jesus also taught us that He and He alone, was the way to God: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6 NKJV).

Reflect

Now, you may ask, don't other religions and philosophies say they’re the way to life or the way to God? While they may claim something like that, there is one huge difference between Christianity and all the others--in Christianity Christ says not only "here is the way" but also I give you the power to live that way.
When you have Jesus teaching you the very words of God, and you have Jesus enabling you to live God's way, then you have something much better than any other religion or philosophy that has ever existed.

Respond

Want know what God says? What to know what God's will for your life is? Want to know how to have a personal relationship with God? Take your Bible, go to the Gospels, read about what Jesus said and did--and you'll discover for yourself the very words of God.

My Comments:  I encourage all who read this to give God's one true way a try. He says believe and believing takes and is an action. You believe the plane will stay in the air even though it shouldn't. You believe the car will stop in time to protect you from an accident every time you get in one. You may not understand every thing about how or why any things keeps you safe yet you believe it will. God tells you He will keep you safe and believe He will keep you safer than any plane or car ever could.
He keeps us safe when we come to Him through His Son Jesus who He sent to save us and bring us to Himself spotless only because of the sacrifice of the one perfect lamb the Lamb or God, Jesus. We then by our belief become adopted sons and daughters of God the Father. We do this by believing and following Jesus and relying on God to bring us to Him safely to live forever with Him. What a promise. No other can make this promise!
Abba Father give us the strength to always turn to You to believe Your promises and to know Your love through Your Son Jesus our King. Thank You Father for all you mercies and your gift of Salvation and Righeousness. Amen
